- Three-phase Dump Load Brake: If the wind turbine over-speeds and exceeds the PWM capacity, the three-phase dump load automatically brakes the turbine. After 10 to 20 minutes, the brake releases and the turbine restarts power generation.
What happens during a grid cut-off or inverter disconnection?
If the grid is cut off, the three-phase dump load automatically starts to brake the wind turbine and stops inverter output. Once the grid recovers, the controller will automatically recover the wind turbine. If the grid-tied inverter is disconnected, the controller conducts constant voltage output and safely waits for inverter resumption.
How does the built-in surge protector safeguard the equipment?
The surge protector limits transient over-voltage breaking into the wind turbine's power line to a range the equipment can safely withstand, or discharges powerful lightning current to the ground to protect the system from lightning strikes.
What manual safety controls are available on the GT-PCTC controller?
The controller includes:
- Emergency Stop Switch: Cuts off all controller power and immediately brakes the wind turbine via the three-phase dump load.
- Manual Brake Switch: Keeps the wind turbine locked in a braked state continuously using the three-phase dump load.

The controller supports:
- Modbus Communication protocol for secondary development.
- RS485 interface to adjust technical specifications.
