What problem does GT-PCTC controller solve?
Compared with PV grid-tied inverters, small wind turbine grid-tied inverters market supply have following problems:
- Few professional small wind turbine grid-tied inverter factories
- Small wind turbine grid-tied inverters are several times more expensive than PV inverters
- Quality is unstable, no after-sale service
- Low efficiency
- No grid connection certification

How does the protection system work?
The protection system utilizes PWM Constant voltage + Three-phase dump load brake:
- PWM constant voltage controls the wind turbine output so it does not exceed 120% of the wind turbine's rated power.
- If the PWM's capacity is exceeded, meaning the wind turbine is over-speeding, the three-phase dump load system will brake the wind turbine automatically and immediately. After 10-20 minutes, the brake will release, and the wind turbine will restart generating power.
- During strong winds, the controller conducts constant voltage output to ensure the inverter runs safely.
- When the grid-tied inverter is disconnected, the controller conducts constant voltage output and waits for inverter resumption.
- When the grid is cut off, the three-phase dump load automatically starts to brake the wind turbine and stops the inverter output to the grid. When the grid recovers, the controller recovers the wind turbine.

What are the other standard functions of the controller?
The controller includes the following built-in functions:
- Surge protector: Limits the transient over-voltage that enters the wind turbine's power line to a voltage range the equipment can withstand, or discharges powerful lightning currents into the ground to protect the equipment from lightning strikes.
- Emergency stop switch: In case of emergency, pressing the emergency stop button on the front panel cuts off all power supply to the controller, and the wind turbine immediately brakes (three-phase dump load).
- Manual Brake switch: When activated, the wind turbine will remain braked at all times (three-phase dump load).

What optional communication functions are available?
The controller supports the following optional functions:
- Modbus Communication protocol is available, which is convenient for secondary development.
- RS485 is available for adjusting technical specifications.
- WIFI and LAN remote monitoring and control are supported. Customers can monitor the real-time working state of the on-grid wind power system via PC and mobile, and query historical working states. Both Android and iOS are compatible with mobile monitoring.
