    Compared with standard PV grid-tied inverters, the small wind turbine grid-tied inverter market has several challenges:

    • Small wind turbine grid-tied inverters are several times more expensive than PV inverters
    • Unstable quality with no after-sale service
    • Low overall efficiency

    How does the GT-PCTC controller work with mainstream PV grid-tied inverters?
    The GREEF GT-PCTC series controller works alongside GROWATT, DEYE, and SOLIS brand PV grid-tied inverters to continuously track and control grid-tied power. Users can set their own wind turbine working power curve (Speed VS Power) on the display screen, allowing the controller to inspect generator speed and guide the inverter to work accordingly.
    How does the system's protection mechanism work?
    The system utilizes a dual protection structure: PWM Constant voltage combined with a Three-phase dump load brake.
    • PWM constant voltage controls the wind turbine output so it does not exceed 120% of the rated power.
    • If the wind turbine exceeds the PWM capacity (over-speed), the three-phase dump load system automatically engages to brake the wind turbine immediately. The brake releases after 10 to 20 minutes to allow the wind turbine to restart power generation.
    How does the controller respond to strong winds or grid cut-offs?
    • During strong winds, the controller provides constant voltage output to ensure the inverter operates safely.
    • If the grid-tied inverter disconnects, the controller maintains constant voltage output and waits for inverter resumption.
    • If the grid is cut off, the three-phase dump load automatically brakes the wind turbine and stops inverter output. Once the grid recovers, the controller recovers the wind turbine.
    What auxiliary safety features are built into the controller?
    The controller includes several built-in manual and automatic safety functions:
    • Surge protector: Limits transient over-voltage in the wind turbine power line or discharges powerful lightning current to the ground to protect the equipment from lightning strikes.
    • Emergency stop switch: Pressing this button cut offs all power supply of the controller and immediately brakes the wind turbine via three-phase dump load.
    • Manual Brake switch: Allows users to manually brake the wind turbine (three-phase dump load) continuously.
    What optional communication and remote monitoring functions are available?
    The controller supports several optional interface and protocol configurations:
    • Modbus Communication protocol for secondary development.
    • RS485 interface to adjust technical specifications.
    • WIFI and LAN remote monitoring and control, allowing customers to monitor real-time and historical working states on PC and mobile devices (compatible with Android and iOS).
